Thank you for your interest in starting a chapter!
Chapters are free groups established by SARD volunteers. Our chapters are able to do additional volunteer work such as making care packages, holding connections events, and having greater involvement in our holiday and seasonal events (this month we are working on our Thanksgiving Gift Giving event! Our chapters help us expand our impact to new geographic locations and help more people.

Here are the steps to take to apply:

1. View the slideshow and make sure you will be able to adhere to the expectations.
2. View the application here. Make sure you can answer all of the yes/no questions with a yes, and you will be able to answer the open responses.
3. If you are a student, but not yet part of the Student Advocates Program, join it here (students in this program get first dibs on starting chapters).​​

4. Fill out the application form.

5. Wait 10 business days for your interview via the email you gave.
What do our chapters do?
Our chapters spread our mission into their local areas:

Host connections events at local hospitals

Make letters and art together to bring to local hospitals

Host fundraisers and donation drives (collecting funds, books, toys, and other care package items)
